Session 2 : reflection

 After getting to know plenty of resources in class, I think the use of a thesaurus is the most useful.One of the problems for second language learners is that they lack vocabulary. Their abilities in expressing themselves are greatly limited by number of words they know. Using a thesaurus helps students to enlarge the vocabulary bank. Moreover, it is good for their writing.

 It maybe too hard for p1 kids to search words from an online thesaurus . However,  it is very useful for p.6 students,  especially when they are doing writing tasks. Teacher can demonstrate the use of an online thesaurus in class as an example for them to learn how it can help them in looking for synonyms. Then a pre-writing task can be given to students for them to look for the relevant words that may be useful in the coming writing tasks. This can provide great assistance to them when they work out the writing. Not only does it save time from the packed schedule, but also enhance students' self-learning ability.

I hope the online resources can lead my students to improve their writing from good to great.
