I find it useful in many activities. First of all,I can show my own video to them as a demonstration and to raise their interest. Then i can teach them the way to make the video using Adobe Spark that involves selecting photos or pictures on their own or from the Internet, choosing suitable template and background music, adding subtitles and description and recording their voice-over. I'm sure my students will be able to make video using Adobe Spark without difficulties. One activity that I can think of up is writing diary. When I was small, teachers usually ask us to write diaries after special activities like school picnic or sports day on a diary book. Now, being able to utilize the tool that the have learnt. there is good alternative to make it more fun. Instead of writing on a diary book, students can actually make a video log as a diary using Adobe Spark! The better part of making a video is that it requires multiple language skills as compared with just writing it on the diary book traditionally. In additional to writing, recording the voice-over of the video is also a good exercise for student to improve their speaking. What makes it even better is that the video can be shared easily and watching others’ work would also be a good listening exercise for them as well. I believe they can surely learn from each other.
I’m sure my students will have fun making the video log and I can’t wait to see their works!
