During this session, we tried to use some
videos online, like Ted-ed and EDpuzzle, to test students listening. Some of them are really interesting and attractive to students, for example Flatmates from BBC and Flocabuary.
When I was young, we used to listen to tracks on CD and programs on TV to train up my listening only. Students nowadays are so lucky to have such a great variety of choices available thanks to the development of the Internet. There are countless videos on different topics online that may interest students. The visual stimulation by videos is likely to keep students' attention in class for a longer time, especially for less able students.

With also the help EDpuzzle, we can insert
questions in between the video so as to test their understanding and make
explanation if necessary, which enhances the effectiveness of using video in
teaching.
I have made my own one for teaching colour
for my p.1 class and I can't wait to show it to show it to them.
